This blog serves as the form of media for the
investigation of the musical similarities and differences of a Scottish folk
song sung by Julie Fowlis and a blues song by Muddy Waters. (Videos of these
pieces can be seen below) Despite coming from different
musical genres/styles the musical elements form, melodic patterns, and microtones
provide links between these two examples. Some differences between the examples
